Nate Miller is the Chief Executive Officer of Consensus Networks, delivering core infrastructure for blockchain networks to support use cases from healthcare to cryptocurrency. In 2018, he helped found Consensus Networks and the company has grown organically since, winning contracts from a variety of clients including the Department of Defense and National Institutes of Health.

Prior to joining Consensus Networks, Nate served for over seven years in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Warfare Officer. He is a 2011 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor’s of Science in Systems Engineering. He attended the U.S. Navy’s nuclear power and submarine officer training programs before being assigned to the USS Maine, an Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine. Nate completed four strategic deterrent patrols while serving as a division officer aboard the Maine. During his time on the Maine he received multiple awards and recognitions for his management of various Engineering Divisions. From 2016 to 2018, he was an Assistant Professor of Naval Science at the University of Notre Dame where he taught Physics, Thermodynamics, and Cyber Security to ROTC students. In 2018, Nate earned a Masters of Science from the University of Notre Dame through the ESTEEM graduate program. He is a previous contributor to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) working group on Blockchain for Industrial Applications and taught an introductory blockchain course at Notre Dame.
